Paul Carlson Partnership was grateful to participate in Gather, the Evangelical Covenant Church’s Annual Meeting, held June 25–27 in Phoenix, Arizona. Becky, Kent, and I enjoyed connecting with delegates and Covenant colleagues from around the world, and we joined more than 218 attendees at the Serve Globally luncheon. Kent also promoted Biking for Congo, featuring a brief video testimony from founder Dennis Carlson.
During Saturday’s business session, I (Renée) presented PCP’s annual ministry highlights, celebrating several milestones from the past year: the Lois Carlson Bridges Nursing Scholarship becoming fully funded; a Medical Ambassadors trip to Karawa; two physicians completing SIGN fracture care training and now serving at Karawa Hospital; the Karawa Coffee Cooperative’s entry into the global coffee market; the arrival of the Project CURE container in Karawa; and the repair of five bridges across the region. I also introduced Tresor Moolo, PCP-USA’s water engineer, and his Congolese team as we continue our focus on expanding access to clean water through our spring appeal and ongoing ministry efforts.
Gratefully,
Renée Hale
