We're going to Congo!
Hello PCP family,
The PCP team is heading to the Democratic Republic of Congo next week! We are thrilled to travel together as a team to encourage the ministry you support with your generous giving! We will continue to build relationships with our Congolese partners and our in-country ministry colleagues, all the while taking in all of the sights and sounds of real-time ministry projects. We promise to bring back many photos and some videos to share with you, our USA ministry partners.
We humbly ask for your prayers as we go: prayers for safe travel to DR Congo and while moving about in the country, for effective cross-cultural communication, for joyful team work, and for staying healthy! These are but a few specific prayer requests—please feel free to pray for our trip as the Lord leads you.
Who’s going? Renée Hale (Executive Director), Becky Dangel (Marketing Manager), Craig Anderson (Director of Medical Programs), and Tom Verdoorn (Chairman of the Board). We have the full team on this trip, and with thanks to God we are anticipating great steps forward in team building and team cross-cultural working.
When are we going? May 11–26. Renée will leave the USA May 11, spending two days with her son Stephen and his family in Kinshasa, DR Congo. What a blessing that Stephen is an MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) pilot and that his family is assigned to Kinshasa. Becky, Craig and Tom will depart the USA May 13. The entire team will meet in Kinshasa on May 14. We will spend time in Kinshasa, Gemena, Karawa, and Bogose Nubea. Departure from DR Congo is May 25 with arrival in the USA May 26.
Special Note: At the conclusion of the PCP team trip, Craig will remain in DR Congo through June 3 to welcome and work with a group of Medical Ambassadors from the USA! We look forward to their reports of life changing medical program engagement.
