Dear *|FNAME|*,

Welcome to Spring! Now that it's starting to warm up in Chicago, we know we will soon see budding trees and tulips pop up from the ground, renewing the earth, and giving us the refreshment and the energy we need in 2019!

In the same way, we are rejoicing in the fruitfulness of hard work, commitment, and partnership we have with our Congolese brothers and sisters. You are also a crucial part of this ongoing ministry! Together, we have seen much fruit from the time and effort that has gone into every conversation and project in Congo this past year. We invite you to rejoice with us as we review the ministry impact of 2018.

2018 Ministry Impact

Congo Clinic Initiative - Access to Clean Water Improves

As our Congolese medical professionals tell us, clean water = healthy people. Water borne illnesses, dysentery, dehydration, and death are greatly reduced when clean water sources are available.
  • To date, 9 clean water sources have already been established through our partnership with local villages in Congo!
  • In 2019, we are seeking funding for 46 capped springs in the Bogose Nubea and Loko health zones. A capped freshwater spring costs about $10,000 and provides for a clinic and its surrounding villages.

  • Give to the Congo Clinic Initiative today!

Congo Hospital Initiative

  • Bogose Nubea Maternity Ward completed
  • Bogose Nubea Pediatric Ward under construction
  • Karawa Hospital Maternity Ward rehabilitated
  • Wasolo Hospital received Medical Ambassador training

  • Plans are underway to repair 3 more in 2019.

Karawa Coffee Project

  • 52 Farmers Associations have been formed
  • 1,350 coffee producers have been trained
  • 812,000 coffee plants growing in nurseries
  • By the end of March, 394 kilos of seeds were planted in 728 seedbeds and destined to be planted in fields in April 2019.
