Paul Carlson Partnership is excited to announce the addition of a new team member, Bob Anderson.
Bob has been part of the Covenant Church family his entire life and grew up in a congregation with a strong emphasis on missions. As a staff member at several Covenant camps, he met many missionaries. At North Park College, Bob became close friends with "missionary kids''. These experiences helped him gain a deeper appreciation for the variety of God’s work around the world.
While on the Board of Covenant World Mission over twenty years ago, Bob was a key member who envisioned a revitalized Paul Carlson Partnership. “I have watched with great interest the remarkable progress ever since," said Bob. After more than 40 years in Covenant ministry, Bob recently retired as Pastor at Redeemer Covenant Church in Orangevale, CA. His new role with PCP will be as part-time a Partner Engagement Representative, encouraging donors to partner with PCP through prayer, giving, and serving. “I look forward to working with the PCP team and meeting with people who have a heart for the people of Congo,” said Bob. Renée Hale, executive director, added, “Bob brings a lifetime of Covenant ministry service, pastoral care, and leadership into this important role which he approaches humbly and prayerfully. The PCP team is honored to welcome Bob.''
Please join us in welcoming Bob to the team! If you would like to contact Bob Anderson, you can reach him at bob.anderson@paulcarlson.org or (773) 907-3370.

In seven days, from July 26 to August 1, Team BBC/Brothers Biking for Congo rode 362 miles through Michigan, raising over $10,000 for rural health clinics in the Democratic Republic of Congo! The three attached pictures are representative of the three areas of Michigan we rode in --Three rides here in the Detroit area of southeast Michigan, two rides out of Grand Rapids on the western side of Michigan, and two rides up north.
Though we have reached our $10,000 goal for this year, financial support is still coming in and is much needed. The funds will be applied to year 5 of this five-year, $10,000/year commitment to help provide basic health care for rural clinics, including clean water, solar-powered electricity, refrigeration for vaccines, medicines, medical supplies and equipment, continuing education for village nurses and much more! If you would still like to participate with us, you can give online through the Paul Carlson Partnership, and indicate that your gift is for "Brothers Biking for Congo."

Every day but one, we met up with folks along the way. On Monday, July 30, Chris Hirt, who works in partnership with Bible Translation in SE Asia, joined us for our ride heading north out of Grand Rapids on the White Pine Trail, pictured here at the dam in Rockford, Michigan.

We finished the ride with 20 miles of riding on Mackinac Island (where Upper and Lower Michigan meet and Lake Michigan meets Lake Huron) with our traditional 'Bike Lift' to celebrated the completion of the ride!
