I trust that this note will find most of you home and celebrating the birth of Christ with your family and friends. For those of you, like me, who’ve martyred yourselves by volunteering to work today, thank you for your kind service to your patients and to your partners; despite our toils, this day is no less momentous. My prayer for this day is that all of us will sincerely celebrate the birth of our Savior and give thanks for our salvation that comes only through Him.
This past year has brought our little organization both growth and new opportunities. The PCP’s Congo Clinic Initiative model has been enthusiastically embraced by many churches, families, foundations, and individuals. Solar panels are in the midst of installation at many of our clinics and hospitals in Equateur.
Along with this has come growth of our volunteer population! Because of the wonderful interest in our medical ambassador program, we are now in the process of hiring a full-time medical director. I’m quite confident that this individual will offer considerably more efficiency and organization than I’ve been able to offer (haha!). Let’s join in praying that God will lead us to hire wisely. Let’s also pray God will straighten the path of whomever He leads us to hire. May God continue to use all of you who comprise the PCP’s Medical Ambassadors to support and educate our medical counterparts in Equator. May our combined efforts glorify Him in this coming year.
