Greetings PCP Family,
Thank you for standing with us and our brothers and sisters in DR Congo! Your financial giving makes this partnership in holistic gospel ministry possible in the #1 poorest country in the world in 2020!
We give thanks to the Lord for His continuing provision through you, and also for our Congolese colleagues who invest tireless effort on site in DR Congo, for the people they serve every day, and for the incredible blessing we have to come alongside them. And to think, we have the honor and privilege of investing our financial gifts and efforts to partner with our brothers and sisters in such a time as this. God has entrusted us with a precious blessing of service for His glory. Read on to discover real-time ministry impact!
Merci mingi,

CEUM Prepares for COVID-19
Even though COVID-19 continues in DR Congo’s capital city, Kinshasa, the five hospitals operated by the CEUM report no suspected cases as the month of July comes to an end. Four positive cases have been identified in the provinces where the Church works, but no other cases have been positively identified since.

|
Thanks to generous donors who gave to our COVID-19 Response Fund, the CEUM medical teams now have training, medicines, and equipment to treat severe cases of COVID-19 should they occur. Most recently, PCP funded medicines and fingertip oxygen monitors (pulse oximeters) for each hospital. Proactive precautions implemented by the CEUM will help raise the standard of health overall, with support from our generous donors who continue to support UCare4Congo. Thank you for continuing to support these efforts that will save lives!

Making Bridges Work
Kade Zongalinga continues construction on the new bridges crossing the Nguya river. The bridges will restore vehicle traffic to the area and prevent dangerous accidents. One third of the 10 bridge system has been completed, with the next four currently underway. Plans are to complete these bridges by November 2020 and the remaining third to be completed by spring 2021. In order to complete the final stage, PCP is seeking financial support for bridge repairs.

Capped Springs & Hand Pumps
Clean water continues to be a focus at the hospital and clinic levels. Bokada, Bogose Nubea, and Karawa hospitals now have clean water taps inside. Seven more clinics in the Bogose Nubea Health Zone have access to capped springs. In areas where spring water is not located, our partners will be testing how best to provide hand pumps. Supporting clean water is now part of our UCare4Congo healthcare strategy.
