Meet the New President

Gary Walter is the newly elected president of the Evangelical Covenant Church. He was elected and installed during the 123rd Annual Meeting in June at Green Lake, Wisconsin, and assumed his new responsibilities on September 1.

Following is a collection of background information, biographical data and other material to help Covenanters become better acquainted with Walter, who formerly served as executive minister of the Department of Church Growth and Evangelism before accepting the Covenant’s call to serve as its ninth president.
