The Paul Carlson Partnership is an international relief and development organization working to catalyze sustainable communities in places of deep poverty. It was first incorporated in 1966 in memory of Dr. Paul E. Carlson, an Evangelical Covenant Church missionary in the Congo who was killed during the Simba rebellion of 1964. From that beginning we have a continuing commitment to the medical needs of the poorest people. At the same time, we have come to believe that the core problem for these people is the poverty itself. Therefore, we have increased our emphasis on economic development for self-sustainability. We are now exploring a potential second location, outside of Africa. The Paul Carlson Partnership is affiliated with the Evangelical Covenant Church.
