The Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) Denomination with which the Paul Carlson Partnership is affiliated, and a sister church to the CEUM in Congo.
Communauté Évangélique de l'Ubangi-Mongala
(CEUM) Covenant Church of Congo, a sister church of the Evangelical
Covenant Church. Operates extensive medical and educational systems in
the northwestern portion of Congo.
Covenant World Relief (CWR) The international humanitarian aid and development arm of the ECC, including responses to domestic disasters as well as events worlwide. The PCP and CWR work together periodically on shared projects in Congo.
HOPE International
(Canada) Has partnered with the PCP and CEUM for some time on rural
development programs, has experience in agricultural microfinance, and
currently is a partner in the PCP-led microenterprise initiative, which awaits final approval of funding.
Help the Aged (Canada)
Partnerships with the PCP and CEUM have included clinic rehabilitation
and mobile medical teams. Currently working on restoring a portion of
the electrical infrastructure in the Ubangi.
International Aid An important source of medical supplies and equipment for the PCP in our equipping of the CEUM clinics and hospitals.
Opportunity International
The largest Christian-based microfinance organization operating out of
the U.S. The PCP has formed a partnership with Opportunity International with the goal of bringing basic banking services to the Ubangi within the next few years.
Giving Back to Africa Supports service-centered education for young people in the DRC, with a goal of helping them take control of their own lives and become change agents in their own communities and in their country.
HEAL Africa.
Operates a hospital in Goma, in eastern Congo, where the current
violence is the greatest. Speaks out against violence against women,
particularly rape as an act of war; and works for women's empowerment
in the region.
International Rescue Committee.
Works in Congo and around the world in areas of crisis and among
refugees and internally displaced persons. Has sponsored research on
death rates in Congo that is widely used.
Raise Hope for Congo. Information and advocacy organization specifically focused on women in Congo.
International Crisis Group. Respected, broadly international staff and board bring expertise to the tasks of analyzing local conflicts around the globe, making information available, and advising the UN and other parties on potential solutions. Their reports on Congo are considered impartial.
