Kids can make a difference! In the past five years, kids across North America have given more than $34,000 to help the people of Congo through the Paul Carlson Partnership.
If you decide you would like to help too, there are lots of ways you could do it. You could give or raise money on your own, or you could get together with your family, your friends, your Sunday school class or another group. Anybody can help. Here are a few ways that some kids have gotten money to give for the people of Congo:
A 6-year-old boy gave more than $400 that he had earned by selling lemonade at a lemonade stand, telling people the money was going to Congo.Sometimes the most important thing kids can do is to tell other people about the Congo, and about Paul Carlson and the organization that's named for him. With what you can learn here on this website, you will know more about Congo than many other people do, even adults! You can tell them about the people of Congo, and the troubles they've been through, and you can show them this website.
If you want to give money for the kids in Congo, the first thing to do is talk to your parents. You can look at the 2009 brochure "Kids Helping Kids!" to find out how much some things cost in Congo. If you or your parents have any questions about giving money, you can go to the "Give" page on the main Paul Carlson website, or send us a message, and we'll answer.
Every gift counts!
