New PCP, CEUM Agreement Signed

On Friday, April 20, 2018, The Paul Carlson Partnership (PCP) and the Covenant Church of Congo (CEUM) joined in a joyous ceremony of signing a new Memorandum of Understanding which articulates how PCP and CEUM operate together as partners in strategy to impact medical and economic development in northwest Democratic Republic of Congo, including receiving, distributing, spending and reporting on funds. Signatories were Dr. Renée Hale, Executive Director of Paul Carlson Partnership; Rev. Jules Mboka, President of the Covenant Church of Congo; and Rev. Dr. Al Tizon, Executive Minister of Serve Globally, ECC.

Over the more than 50-year history of the Paul Carlson Partnership, leaders on both sides of the ocean have forged the way together to guide projects in medical and economic development. This new Memorandum of Understanding underscores a renewed, articulated commitment to seeking the Lord together in partnership, honing strategy and operating procedures that honor our relationship, and strengthening our impact for the population of northwest Democratic Republic of Congo.

Although the MOU took effect January 1, 2018, it was with grateful hearts that we were able to celebrate together for the ceremony during the PCP Board of Directors meeting held at the Covenant Offices in Chicago, IL, April 20 – 21, 2018. The ceremonial signing was followed by a festive evening meal.
